On March 31, Huang Rulun, Chairman of the Board of Century Jinyuan Group, led a delegation to Yida Food for a fact-finding visit on the company’s high-quality development. Qiu Bixiang, Chairwoman of Yida Food, and Qiu Weijie, General Manager, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

The research team visited the company’s product exhibition hall, gaining an in-depth understanding of the company’s development journey and its sophisticated processing system for marine products such as Kelp seedlings, jellyfish, and others. From quick-frozen Kelp seedlings, frozen bamboo shoots, and sea matsutake to ready-to-eat Kelp crisps and Kelp slices—this diverse product portfolio coupled with stringent quality control left a deep impression on the research team. Chairman Huang Rulun carefully inquired about product R&D, market deployment, and brand building, and fully endorsed the company’s strategic positioning of deeply cultivating the entire Kelp industry chain and establishing itself as a benchmark in the marine food sector.




At the symposium, Chairwoman Qiu Bixiang reported on the company’s current development status, progress on the Phase II project, and future plans, and highlighted the significant achievements of last year’s collaboration with Meituan Xiang Dachu in expanding market channels. Chairman Huang Rulun offered a positive assessment of the company’s performance. He expressed his deep affection for his hometown of Lianjiang, voiced his hope that the region will continue to thrive, and encouraged the company to remain committed to the marine-food sector, increase investment in R&D, deepen industry–university–research cooperation, and promote the expansion of Lianjiang’s seafood products into broader markets.

Yida Foods stated that it will remain committed to its original mission of quality, continue to deepen its integration across the entire kelp industry chain, strengthen technological innovation and brand development, and contribute to rural revitalization and the high-quality development of the marine economy, steadily advancing toward its goal of becoming a benchmark marine-food enterprise in the industry.


Fujian Yida Food Co., Ltd. (formerly Fuzhou Yida Food Co., Ltd.) was established in 2003 and is a large-scale enterprise integrating the aquaculture, sophisticated processing, and sales and trade of marine products, with a particular focus on kelp. The company adheres to the principle of “ With Hearts Turned to the Sea: Cultivating People, Achieving Success “Our philosophy is dedicated to the high-value development of marine products such as kelp and jellyfish.”
Core Business and Resources: The company owns a 40-mu modern factory and a 10,000-ton cold storage facility in Lianjiang, as well as a 3,000-mu marine aquaculture base on Dongluodao. By adopting the “company + base + farmer” model, it has established raw material production and primary processing bases in multiple villages and towns, creating jobs and boosting rural revitalization.
Brand and Quality: It owns brands such as “Dongluodao,” “Jizhou Island,” “Haizhaiji,” “Mingui” (a well-known trademark in Fuzhou), and “Liande Li” (a famous trademark in Fujian Province). “Dongluodao” kelp has been awarded titles such as “Fujian Provincial Famous Brand Agricultural Product” and “Time-honored Brand of Fuzhou.” The company has obtained authoritative certifications including HACCP, organic food, green food, and U.S. FDA approval.
Innovation-driven: The company is dedicated to the advanced processing of kelp and has made substantial investments in product R&D. It has established close industry–university–research collaborations with the academic team led by Academician Zhu Beiwei at Dalian University of Technology (a provincial “100 Talents Program” innovation team), Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (with which it co-established the province’s first Kelp Science and Technology Courtyard), Fuzhou University, Jimei University, the Institute of Oceanology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In addition, the company has set up an Academician Workstation, an Expert Workstation, a Doctoral Innovation Station, and a Science and Technology Special Commissioner Service Station.
Honors and Achievements: It is a National High-tech Enterprise, a provincial key leading enterprise, a provincial “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” SME, a provincial technology giant among SMEs, one of the top 100 innovative private enterprises in the province, a provincial kelp industrialization base, and a Fujian Provincial Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise. The company holds 18 invention patents and 77 utility model patents, and has won numerous awards, including the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress of Fujian Province in 2022. In 2022, it completed the nation’s first marine carbon sink transaction (15,000 tons), and in 2023 it obtained the nation’s first blue carbon certificate, contributing to global carbon neutrality. As one of the principal drafting units, Yida Food participated in the formulation of the new national standard “General Quality Requirements for Ready-to-Eat Kelp Products,” which was officially implemented on July 1, 2025.
